One man was killed and another injured Thursday in a North Little Rock motor vehicle accident on North Hills Boulevard.

According to authorities, speeding was a factor in the one-car accident in which the car went out of control and slammed into a wooden power pole. The impact snapped the pole in two just above ground level.

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports:

Sharon Carr, a witness, was driving north when the accident occured.

"It's the most god-awful things I have ever seen!" she said. "The car burst into flames and one boy got out. He was still on fire, and I yelled to him, "Drop and roll!" a still-shaken Carr said more than an hour after the accident. "He did. I hope to never see anything like that again," she said.
